TERMS & CONDITIONS

At Welcoming Mindfulness, we create a non-judgmental environment and follow a wide range of techniques for the counselling sessions, to equip the clients with life-long personalized techniques that can help them navigate through life, in a healthy and wholesome manner. 

Counselling at Welcoming Mindfulness

  1. We offer online and offline counselling sessions.
  2. Each session is for 45 minutes.
  3. The fee for the counselling session must be paid before the session.
  4. The first 2 sessions (or more) will involve a comprehensive evaluation of your needs. Counselling varies from person to person and achieving a positive outcome depends upon the client’s willingness and efforts to change. You are, however, free to terminate the service at any given point, if dissatisfied.
  5. Due to the nature of services involved, we provide no refund (in case of termination of services by the client) for any of the counselling session program you are enrolled with.
  6. The counsellor will keep the information you share confidential, unless they have your written consent to disclose certain information.
  7. Please note that to better meet your needs, your counsellor may refer you to conduct a psychometric assessment.
  8. If you are receiving treatment or counselling from other medical facilities or services, your counsellor may contact your doctor or person in charge with your consent.
  9. We do not prescribe medication, but if requested or required as per your counsellor opinion, we may refer you to a health care professional, depending on the severity of your condition.

Confidentiality

  1. Information discussed during your counselling session and all documentation is kept private and confidential.
  2. The counsellor will not disclose your information without your consent. An important exception to this rule is, if there is a legal responsibility for the counsellor to release information contained in records.
  3. Counsellors may present your case at professional conferences or study groups in order to enhance their skills and knowledge. Your personal information will be de-identified to protect your confidentiality.

Your Rights and Responsibilities as a Client

  1. You have the right to ask questions about anything that happens in the session.
  2. You have the right to considerate, safe and respectful care, without discrimination as to race, ethnicity, colour, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion or national origin.
  3. You have the right to ask questions about any aspects of the counselling session and any specific training and experience of your counsellor.

Responsibilities

  1. You are responsible to make an advance payment for your session unless we have made other firm arrangements.
  2. You are responsible to come for the session at the schedule time, if you are late, we will end on time and not run over into the next client’s session.
  3. Your relationship with your counsellor is solely for availed counselling sessions and a professional relationship.
  4. If you violate our policies, the counsellor may terminate the service.
